I love this time of year! When the air gets crisp, the leaves crunch, and smell of pumpkin spice is in the air. Many people dread the time of year, when you start dragging out your coats, and sweaters. I’ve always wondered why people start complaining at this time of the year. Some of the best holidays are coming up. The season of thanks, a time for looking back over the past year at how good God has been to each one of us!
Our family, when we get together at the farm, will sing chorus of thanksgiving and then we all will go around the room and say what we are thankful for. But, most people bi pass right over Thanksgiving and immediately hop right into the hectic rush of Christmas. My Dad always had the rule that we didn’t put our tree up or listen to Christmas music till Thanksgiving was over. He wanted us to focus on Thanksgiving and to celebrate that holiday.
So how do you feel? Do you get aggravated at people who complain about this time of the year? Do you think that’s its ok to “skip” Thanksgiving so to speak and to rush into all the Christmas rush?

Well Kayla, I too love this time of year. I love snow and, as long as I have nice warm clothes, I even like the nippy air! I do complain that I am cold, but I still love this time of year.
We put our Christmas tree up after Thanksgiving, too. Although, I do listen to Christmas music before then. I like Christmas music!! I am thankful for Christmas music!! :D
To Kayla:
I think fall is my favorite season, and I don't really mind the snow and cold weather. However, I don't like it when people "skip" over Thanksgiving(as you mentioned) and concentrate only on Christmas. Undoubtedly it is the biggest holiday, but it really irritates me when people hardly mention thanksgiving, but are singing carols in October. Honestly, I don’t want to listen to Christmas music until December. I get tired of the same thing all the time, so normally all the Christmas music gets really repetitive by December 25th. This is just my humble opinion, but it may be influenced partly by my background. My family doesn’t make that big a deal out of Christmas. We haven’t even had a tree the past few years. Nice blog though, I’m glad someone brought this up.
I love Christmas it’s so awesome, but at the same time Thanksgiving is just as important. The way the leaves change from color to color is so beautiful. The way God puts the colors together so intriguing and the way weather is so crisp that it’s not to hot or not to cold, but perfect.
I love Thankgiving more than Christmas, personally because Christmas has just become another commercialized holiday.I love Christmas, don't get me wrong, but it is just something about Thanksgiving and the gathering of family and friends that makes it much warmer and more inviting than Christmas.I mean,Christmas is great becuse you get gifts and are with family too,but at Thanksgiving, there is no pressure, just good clean fun. Plus, its an excuse to stuff yourself and blame it on the holiday!
Yes, I do sometimes get aggravated at people when they complain about
this time of the year. This is the time when our nation was born and we should not dread it we should be happy. I think that thanksgiving is a very happy time. When all the family members you have not seen come and eat a big thanksgiving dinner. This is when we should thank God for things He has given us. We should not skip it.
